Charlotte SHOUT! is a celebration of art, music, food and ideas in Uptown Charlotte taking place April 29 - May 11. Kicking off with the Charlotte Jazz Festival, and culminating with a three-day convergence, this celebration will feature exceptionally curated programming from around the corner and around the world. This year, SHOUT! is the grand finale of CLT250, the year-long commemoration of Charlotte's 250th anniversary. With 75+ concerts, installations, performances and everything in between, everyone can discover something inspiring.
MAY 11, 2019: WEATHER UPDATE
Hi everyone! We've had two great days of Charlotte SHOUT! and we're hoping to finish the weekend off strong. We know everyone is wondering about weather conditions and how that will affect the fun. Here are the updates as of 12:30 pm:
Currently, the following art exhibits have shut down:
- Intrude (the giant inflatable bunnies)
- Constellation (the star at Trade & Tryon)
- Tall Tales (the swinging ship in First Ward Park)
- Entre Les Rangs (light up flower field in First Ward Park)
At 5 pm, the remainder of the Tryon St. activities will close for the weekend including Prismatica, The Biscuit Lounge, the food trucks and the interactive mural at Trade & Tryon. The Soul Stage performances will move to Knight Gallery at Spirit Square for an intimate listening experience!
For the Bleachers concert this evening:
The concert is rain or shine and gates will open at 5:30 pm. However, showtimes might fluctuate based on weather conditions. Don't forget, you can absolutely bring a chair and an umbrella with you! The music of Umphrey's McGee unfolds like an unpredictable conversation between longtime friends. Its six participants - Brendan Bayliss [guitar, vocals], Jake Cinninger [guitar, vocals], Joel Cummins [keyboards, piano, vocals], Andy Farag [percussion], Kris Myers [drums, vocals] and Ryan Stasik [bass] - know just how to communicate with each other on stage and in the studio.
